Jacob and I have started a new adventure that was paid for by both grandmothers as a XMAS gift. We are attending gymnastics classes in our home town and it has been a really awesome experience. The winter is a hard time to be inside and with all the cold weather, it is nice to get to run around and burn off the steam that has built up the last few months.  

Jacob does not like the opening stretches or the organized rolls/tumbling, but he loves the kid’s slide, the obstacle course, and the interaction with me and other families.  The only weird part for me is that I am usually the only dad there, but plenty of the moms have been friendly towards me.  I have actually had a few conversations with female parents and they don’t treat me like anything other than another parent.  It is good to feel accepted when so much of being a stay-at-home dad makes you feel a little isolated.

At any rate, Jacob is having a ball.  He is really coming out of his shell. Who knows, pretty soon he might be doing the iron cross!
